    Question

I'm going to see the Misfits Monday night on their 30th anniversary tour. What should I expect? Who all has seen them? Recently?

    Let me know...

    thanks

i saw them at Nottingham Rock City a few weeks ago. The sounds was pretty bad and Jerry's vocals didn't compare to Graves and Danzig at all (lets not start that argument :-P ) but it was still worth seeing them. they were better than they were last year atleast.

well, i've always wanted to see them (him)...and I know it's not the same as it used to be...but that's half the bands out there these days.

do they play songs from their entire catalog, or just newer-ish stuff? how is the show? this one is an all ages show, so I guess I'll be stuck there between the Fall Out Boy Hot Topic emo kids and maybe a few old timers hopefully.

I'm a big misfits fan, but I wouldn't walk accross the street for a free Jerry Only show.

When I saw them a couple of years ago the highlight for me was seeing Dez Cadena singing Six Pack.

At that show they played mainly old classic Misfits with a couple newer ones thrown in, and some Black Flag for Dez.

Don't know if Dez is still in the latest Jerry Only show though.

I have to jump on the train Genn took the soul of the misfits with him. But I am going to Detroit on the 28th to see a cover show a friend puts on for halloween along with Dr. Chud headlining.

Some friends of mine in high school would always put on Halloween tribute shows as the band "The Kiss-fits"

...they played, yep you guessed, Kiss and Misfits cover songs. Half of the band was dressed like Kiss, the other half were dressed like the Misfits...which aren't that dissimilar looking at times if you think about it.

It was cool to hear Detroit Rock City go into Where Eagles Dare, and back and forth between the two bands...

    Ahh, good times.

Misfits show review from last night in Asheville coming later tonight...

    Thumbs up

The Misfits suck. The only thing cool about them is their skull.
